Noticed nobody had posted on here today so thought I would come in with a Welcome to 2012 for everyone!

What Pulp City plans do you have for this year?

I need to actually PAINT.

We'll be posting a look back at 2011 in the next few days. Anything in particular that you thought went well for Pulp City this year Hendy?

Aside from actually playing the game this year my main goal is to get a specific set of terrain to play it on, not going to say what yet, but I hope to get it done sooner rather than later.

Same here. The dreaded hairy stick (as Leon calls it) seemes to be my arch nemesis.

I only entered the city this year (but Im here to stay Im afraid. Badgers and Pirates are both hard to get rid of. But harder still is the dreaded Pirate Badger) so cant comment on what It was like before but there have been some amazing sculpts.
That many good ones I cant even pick a favourite. The best I could do would probably be a top 5 in no certain order.

Top 5 that have been released in 2011
Loup Garou
Arquero
Perun
Solar
Avatar of the Jaguar

Top 5 seen but not released in 2011
Doom Train
Night Fright
Crimson Oni
Shadow Mask
Jade Cult Assassin

And I couldnt leave out the massive and stunning Monster kit.

(Please correct me if any of these came out before 2011)

:) I think I'm on the same page with more painting... I'm a bit of a lazy painter, in that I start one model, get it mostly finished and then get distracted by the next model.

I want to go back and REALLY finish a bunch of my figs then get more done!

That said, 2012, for me, will be all about the Jade Cult, the Ninjas and the heroes who strive to defeat them!

Might be a silly idea but,
If there's afew of us that want to paint more then what about a group painting log on here to all keep each other motivated?

We have something like that actually... the general painting thread. Pulp Citizen uses it most, but I've commented on there on occasion as well. Is that more or less what you meant?

But yes, community motivation isn't a bad thing at all!

Varagon suggested the very same idea a while back here.

And this thread followed.

And since cardboardvampire mentioned it: the general painting chat thread.

:)

Thats the sort of thing I was thinking of.
Maybe with set projects and targets. Not all the same at the same time though

I love more and more this type of thing. I'm horrible with projects unless I have motivation, and these help me a lot with said motivation.

I declared unilaterally that 2012 was the Year of Pulp City to the local crew. Not that we've been slacking too much in the last couple, mind you...
