Dr Mercury:
(painted to be a 'living darkness' - there is reason for that; I will do regular metallic and hopefully NMM versions soon...well soon-ish)

Hey, looking good! Maybe play with the contrast settings on the pics in GIMP. It'll make it much prettier!

Yea, seems your light is a bit yellow-ish, but I have a trick to correct that :

Make a filter using white tissue around your lamp. Don't forget to take it off as soon as your pictures are done to avoid fire outbreaks (that would be unfortunate). This will dim the light a lot, thus leaving the colors clear and nice, and that way you won't need to add so much brightness later.

Hope that helps :)

I have some 'daylight' bulbs on the way so hopefully they will sort out the 'yellow light' issue.

Shame on you Leon! Man I thought we were buds. Leaving my poor Oak unpainted. I'm gonna cry into my beer now...

To placate Beermonkey ( :P ) I have painted Father Oak amongst the following and hope to photograph them this week:

- Father Oak
- Chi Chimp (in vaguely ninja-inspired speedy painted garb)
- Blood Rose

Leon,

Great job! The pictures are looking MUCH better and that Blood Rose is definitely one of the better ones I've seen. I think she'd be a very tough model to paint with the roses on the kimono.

The head on shot of Oak is nice, too.

Thannks John. :)

The daylight bulbs seem to have helped, but I still had to adjust the brightness a lot with Father Oak so I may retake those pics at some time.

Thanks for the compliments Q. I found her really hard to paint.

A great sculpt, but really challenging. In other words I may have to try again with another Blood Rose...

My favorite is Sis Bedlam... I have some advice for Trail. Your choose of color on the cape make it more highlated than main body. IMO you should focus on body and cape should be visualy in second plan. Great work anyway :)

To prove that I don't just sit around posting on the board all day, here is my latest:

Boreas

Image

This is the sixteenth Supreme I have finished painting (although I can't varnish him yet due to the cold weather) - I will soon be half-way through the available models I hope. Hellsmith and SFU are next, and probably Acorn after them.

QUICK PLUG: please check out my blog (Pulp Citizen) for updated and alternative photographs as well as other bits and pieces. Followers welcome.
