Hi'ya all :)

My (only) regular Pulp City opponent got a new job and *shudder* responsibilities, and thusly the game kinda faltered for me. But I still paint the wonderfully characterful Pulp City miniatures as a diversion from my faceless masses of Warmachine models.

Disclaimer: I'm a muppet at taking good pictures of miniatures, so bear with me if the pictures are fuzzy :) I'm trying to get better, I swear!

First up is Nuke:

I used him to test out my recipe for nuclear-green-kryptonite and it worked out great!

More will follow, but C&C is as always welcome, and I hope you like it :)

Like it! Especially the green fluitoksikrytonite. What's your recipe? :D

Glad you asked ;)

It's almost embarrassingly simple:
  • White undercoat.
  • Base coat of Vallejo Model Colour Yellow Green (954).
  • Shade with GW Thraka Green.
  • Highlight with Yellow Green.
  • Extreme highlights with Yellow Green : White (1:1) for bits of the face and "hair".
I've been using it on my Warmachine Cryx as well, and it's such a simple effect, but very good at creating some *pop* in an otherwise dark colour scheme.

The green is very rich. It looks good.

I am not sure if I'm going to do a green highlighting to yellow, or paint it like green fire with the pale yellow on the inside working its way to green at the high points.

Actually I play Searforge Mercs mostly, but I have a small Cryx army on the sideboard ;)

I have the day off tomorrow, so I'm going to be painting all day. I hope to finish Androida and hopefully get a stab of paint on, I dunno, Chimp-Chi maybe?
