While I love the grotesque (not gargoyle) that the mini is intended to be mounted on, I tend to favour a more 'street side' flavour to my bases (Twilight excepted for obvious reasons, so was trying to work out what i could mount him onto base wise that would accomodate his cape etc.

2 ideas I have had:
1. crate that he crouches on; I am very 'meh' about this idea looking at a dry fit version
2. damaged brick wall; the option I have hear is quite narrow so not quite ideal.

Anybody have any other suggestions for me? :?:

Mine's on a thug he's landed on using the Rooftop Vigilante rule about voluntarily falling on someone :)

I was going to keep it as a surprise but I've got problems figuring out how I want to paint him up, I'm completely stuck :(

...the base is all done and painted though, and looking pretty good, even if I do say so myself ;)

Great idea Jon - I promise I won't <ahem> 'borrow' it.

Since I won't be 'borrowing' Jon's idea, does anyone else have a suggestion?

I had for a brief time thought of basing mine on a car roof - I was going to cut it down a bit to fit on a 30mm base which would have resulted in the back being kind of flat, so I never thought through how to finish it up.

The other option was a wheelie bin, but that didn't seem quite so heroic.

That is the problem in a nutshell - great, great mini, but to try and get a street side base option is quite hard.

A mail box might do it, or even a piece of mangled technology, like a crushed sentry bot?

I am planning on using a phone booth and put him on the top of it.

Which booth?

I think i have settled on a solution, adding some brick rubble to a base, creates enough lift/elevation to allow the cape to sweep around the base.
