so, having spoken to HendyBadger, i'm making a start to his figure :D

i've had a poke around in The Box Of Stuff and found some unreleased miniatures from Spartan Games, and want an excuse to paintLily...

so, out came Lily and i managed to find a bit of miscast flight deck to make a nice base for her :D
Image

as the deck is sloped, should add a nice dimension and allow some nifty free hand :)

so, more as it happens! :D

Wow. Shes pretty.
And I feel honoured to soon be her new owner.

wee bit of filing (mooould liiines!) and attaching the deck to the base :D

Image

i do rather like the slope to the base; something a bit more unusual than the usual flatness should help bring the miniature to life :)

unusually for me, no conversion work; she's pretty as is :D

it's late now, so undercoating to come!

Definitely putting models together is something I relish. I'll put a model together just have it sit on a shelf for ages. I love putting together other people's models as well.

Same here aswell.
I could clean and build models 24/7. But I need to MAKE myself paint

has the forum been wonky for anyone else? my phone hasn't been liking it :(

i've done many assembling jobs for people; i find Pinning rather therapeutic!

so, while i settle down to actually start painting, last night i gave her an undercoat of Flames Of War German Armour, a change from my usual "everything black!" approach. so i'm experimenting with new painting techniques :D

Image

while i cook my tea i'm gonna go hunting for comicbook pilot uniforms for inspiration :D

Eeeeedit!

so, i've found a few ideas, from History .. but i am rather taken with This Young Lady

so i think i'll be going green, but a more classic-comic style so more solid colours :)

There has been a changeover by the server host I believe.
