It can be a bit difficult getting a hold of some of the PC mini's over here and it looks like Giant Hadron is out of stock on the webstore. So after talking with one of the guys that got me into the game, we came up with an idea for an alternative stand in. I finally got my hands on the base model and set to the conversion work. A nice rainy day today gave me all the motivation that I needed to finish up the plastic card and greenstuff work. I just need to wait for the greenstuff to cure and then its a bit of sanding/cleanup and off to the priming booth!

The conversion is based on a heroclix giant-size marvel sentinal. It was a shame to lose the sentinal, I may need to get my hands on another one to use as a monster somewhere down the road.

The base model is actually a pretty close match to Hadron. Aside from re sculpting the chest a bit and filling in the hole in his hand, all that was needed was to add hadrons distinguishing bits. Namely the mask, head fin and shoulder fins.

Anyway, here is what I came up with.

He stands a fair bit taller than the actual Giant Hadron, but I think that better fills the new 80mm base scale. The heroclix base measure 75mm to give you an idea. I'm still waiting on a proper 80mm base in the mail and when it arrives, he'll be switched over to one identical to the rest of the Heroes.

What do you guys think?
