Trying to get these bad boys onto the table top for our first try in two weeks time. Six should be in some sort of playable condition by then but I began by painting two ready.

First, Hooligrimm. Immensely relaxing to paint! Wasn't super fond of the sculpt but it really grew on me when painting it. Lots of fun to do.

Top notch! Can't wait to see what else you get done.

Nice work (Although I was expecting a discussion on the viability of playing the Grimm... So, again, nice work!)

Looks great - kudos. :)

Having painted two Hooligrimm so far, I have to say I really enjoyed him too. !

Thank you for the kind words, everyone - much appreciated!

@pulpcitizen, I remember reading about him in your blog and that you found him tremendously relaxing to paint as well.

Here's Supreme Grimm.

Image

I actually entered him into a painting competition in Ropecon 2015 (the biggest non-commercial gaming con in Europe) into tabletop category - not to garner prizes but just to hopefully make some onlookers happy as it's such a charming mini. Oh, and also as publicity for Pulp City :D

As for the fellow itself, well, Superman is red and blue, so that seemed like a good idea. But since I'm going a bit pastel for the Grimm skin, I don't think the inspiration is very clear. But oh well, it's fun.

The pic is again a bit rubbish and there seems to be a couple of hairs stuck to him (personally, I blame my cat).

What do you think?

Love him. I got the blue & red reference immediately. Great work!

I can relate, regarding cat hairs on miniatures, they get on nearly everything you paint.

On the subject of the mini though, nicely done! I quite like the blue and read on him. He looks Super!
