First, my notes. This time I was helped only by suggestions from a smaller group of jury.

Entry 1: Ball Boy, Infirmary, 4-Eyes by Matt Randy
This is one smart entry. Turn weakness into power, turn fear and trauma into strength. Teenage angst and stuff. It has a very ?right on the theme? feeling. Working on the visuals would be a challenge as you can?t really ?see? the powers without reading about them in some ways.
The rules are top notch. Kids are varied but still form a team.

Entry 2: GP by Melvin de Voor
Talking about total entry. IT?s not just the pictures, it?s this highly detailed approach to the rules, concepts and visuals. It?s also s very marketable idea. It?s hard to complain about a team of 3 babes. My only doubt is: are they really teenagers? Is there any teenage anxiety in them? Any story builder? I keep forgetting though, how fast these kids grow these days!

Entry 3: Purple Moon Trio by Simon Polin
Sleazy teens! Again, one of a more noir entries, I could see the girls in the Newport district, giving a hell of a concert to the scum of the neighborhood. Some of the Actions are great, very creative. The girls would have a hard time hanging out together as a team, as they do double some of the team functions. IF only they signed a drummer that used streetlights to beat the rhythm of vigilantism on the heads of the villains?

Entry 4: Varsity by Josh Affrime
I knew it! There had to be cheerleaders! What sells this team to me though is the giant robo bear. You can?t go wrong with that. Not too keen on Striker as we?ve already seen that kind of powers in Pulp City. Rules would require a lot of tweaking, but it looks like a lot of fun.

Entry 5: Agents of Wrath by Kyle Dalton
It is one of those entries that?s been growing on me. At first look, they lacked the ultimate coolness factor, but then, after re-reading the rules and trying to envision the trio. The rules provide some interesting options, one thing visually that needs to be done is to make them more teenagers , less grizzled street fighters.

Entry 6: Mirage, Superiority, Drama Queen by Seamus Loftus
Cheerleaders strike back! That is a one classic and classy entry, smart Actions and some interesting concepts, Mirage probably my favorite with his nightmare creatures. The word doesn?t show up in the text, but while reading, I had the feeling that it is probably one of the most ?win for the nerds? entries! While this is not a big complaint, I am lacking synergies here.

Entry 7: Texas Trio by Devon Peterson
Very well written one. Rules shine. This is a perfectly fieldable team with a strong ?we?re in this together? feel. Very different, characterful Supremes. Couldn?t even choose my favorite one from the trio, maybe leaning towards Billy.

Entry 8: Nuclear Atoms by Brandon Peterson
I can?t help but to chime The Jetsons theme. This is the entry with the most retro feel, the team dynamics remind me of some Marvel dynasties (Atlanteans). Again, survivors are a always a good material for Supremes that are participating in the world events.

Entry 9: Paper, Rock, Scissors by Tom Killingbeck
A very bold entry venturing into the dark corners of Pulp City highschools, bringing out the unpopular and rejected. There is a great sense of completeness in the team, something about the name, how the name translates into the supreme powers. And there is a major synergy that is just asking to be developed even further.

Entry 10: Riding School by Tom Killingbeck

Another entry going in the interesting direction. I like the way it draws on various influences and sources, there is lot of reference reading throughout the Actions and fluff. My only complaint would be the fact, that the theme might stretch visually onto all members of the team to much, depriving them of the variety.

Entry 11: The Capgras by Tom Killingbeck
Very interesting entry, synergized to the max. I almost smell Dickens here. I?m having a bit hard sorting it out, how would it work out as a miniature(s)?

Entry 12: UFO Enthusiasts Club by Nicholas Volker

At first, my mind just overlooked this entry. It rang some too cartoony tones. The name doesn?t catch my attention at all. Then, layer by layer, I discovered a compact and very interesting entry. I am truly inspired by the multiple perspectives this team brings to the PC setting. Now they need a PR specialist to revamp the name and do something about those thick glasses Jirou wears.

Entry 13: Drama Queen, Waterworks, Kit-Eh by Yann Folange
That would have been one of the top contestants if truly developed. Come on, a cat shaped armor piloted by a kitty? Stuff of legends.

Boy, it's like killing puppies. Or little seals with a club. Actually some people get the kick out of it. Or killing dolphins. Or setting your sister's collection of Barbies on fire and shouting "Shouldn't have broken up with Fire Fighter Action Man!".

OK.... I'm calm again. I feel bad, cause I personally love at least one idea from each entry and you have proven that you are a bunch of the most creative players out there.

John asked about the finalists. This time I narrowed down the selection of finalists down to two entries. Very different, but I dare to say, both of them "right on the theme".

Paper, Rock, Scissors by Cilionelle

and

UFO Club by Redstripe.

One of them will live in pewter, one will become the stuff of online legends.

I think I am going to throw the dice. My list of pros and cons cancells itself out.
For the next couple of hours you need to live as finalists, I shall nail the issue by the end of the day.

Texas Trio is all me. Glad you like them. I didn't want to say anything until the voting got more or less done.

Congrats to the finalists.

I created entry 1. I'm pretty pleased with it, but I agree. The visual element was a challenge. I have a clear idea of what Ball Boy looks like and that 4-Eyes would have goggle with 4 lenses. Aside from that, it was tricky to see how some of the powers would play out in pewter.

I created this entry. It originally started out as just Mirage, as I wanted a wizardly type who used mind control and illusions, and as I wrote his history, Superiority was originally supposed to be a level 1 resource for him. I was waiting for a contest to come along and submit him into it. Invader Larb convinced me to make Superiority into her own as a Supreme, so I did so and to create a 3rd for submission into this contest. I feel Drama Queen was tacked on at the end, and I am still not entirely happy with her, so I can understand why you did not see any synergies.

OK, I am to much of a wimp to be a judge.
Congratulations to both of you!

Now I need to figure out which one of them takes the planned spot and which one the November spot. In the so called meantime, Redstripe - please come up with a better name for the team :D
Something like The Slayers of the Extraterrestrials! Cilionelle - please think about adding some villainous options to your entry. I would like to see Scissors turning homicidal at some point!

I regularily see people mentioning comics I dont know, wich isnt very hard as this is not really a comic book country (not superhero comics that is.)
but was wondering if people wouldnt mind always making inspiration material into a link ? :) (for the lazy ;))

these secret warriors ? http://www.comicvine.com/secret-warriors/65-54569/ ? (comicvine is one magnificient site, you can look up characters not just on name or maker, but on powers as well.)

and indeed congratulations again, this time to both ;)
