So I was playing around on gmail on the way to work this morning, when I noticed a transmission from the mighty Morph. It appears that someone is watching over us...

(Image reduced a bit so it will go on flickr) - luckily there's now a better one below!

Yes! Skyline has emerged from the shadows, ready to add his own particular gravitas to the situation...

Cool. Very cool. I love Pulp City and all its models, but I have to admit that hero-wise I have a fondness for the caped types (Solar, Trail, Harrier, Red Riding Hoodoo), and of the villains Mourn and Dr Tenebrous are probably my favourites.

So what i am saying is I can't wait to buy some packs with Skyline! :D

A little bigger one.
The concept is off to James van Schaik, the ultimate cape master.
Surely, the cape won't be that pronounced (unless you want to pay 20 Euro for 1 lbs of pewter used for it), but good news is Skyline will come with his own chunk of ... skyline, gargoyle and the rooftop!

Btw, the concept is by a new artist, C4M, who's got that charming style reminding me of "manga influenced Spiderman meets early Rackham concepts".

I love the mask with goggles! And the "skyline" on his chest is terrific. I can't wait to see him transform into pewter!

I'm really liking the looks of this one. Can't wait to get a Skyline and Jade Hawk, great characters.

That's two for the big cape. The big cape thing is what makes Trail and Mourn so cool. :D

+1 big cape! No it is not as over-compensating as it sounds!

I was never a big fan of the big capes for the longest time. . . Eiryss' and Gorman's capes in Warmachine was always kind of . . . meh. And then, after Epic Haley came out. . . sign me up. Big capes *CAN* be done well. Solar's cape, for example, is just what a cape should be!

Do we need a cape-based poll on this one to try to steer Morf's decision-making...?

:P

Ok, here's the insider's deal. Skyline will have the cape. it's gonna be a big Trail like cape. But not even close to what's in the pic as: 1/ it would cost fortune to cast and remember, essentially for each 1 Euro worth of pewter, the end Customer pays 4 Euro (the usual rule of 25% production cost, 25% manufacturer, 50% retail/dist applies in most cases) 2/ it would weigh him sideways.

Please no polls :D
