I love Liverpulp :)
But given my football prefferences it should be more Pulpchester or Sunderpulp.

Pulp generally means mass-produced, kinda trashy, right?

Well, I think the following would be in order: Trachester and Ragby.

Very nice sculpt but, for me at least, it doesn't seem to fit with Pulp City.

:) I may just have to get one as a Imperial Commisar though...

I think he looks more a former Earthling who is now a space faring bounty hunter chasing the Ulthar while they're on Earth.

If you look on a Dictionary Website other than the usual definitions referring to pulped matter you get -

Quote:
a magazine or book printed on rough, low-quality paper made of wood pulp or rags, and usually containing sensational and lurid stories, articles, etc.

(I love the Word "Lurid" LoL).

In the case of Pulp City its referring to its "Heritage" the inexpensive fiction magazines published from 1896 through the 1950s - a Heritage than Comics in the 1980's (when Pulp City is set) took to heart once more.

DC Comics (for example) resurrected The Shadow and Doc Savage quite successfully in 1987.

Marvel Comics, while they didn't specifically sail the "Pulp" Nostalgia Wave of the 80's - has some ASTONISHINGLY "Pulpy" Characters and storylines!

Captain America #255 (Published in 1981) celebrated the 40th Anniversary of the Captains first appearance by revealing never before seen information about his origin; and Marvels wonderfully "Pulpy" Secret Wars ran from May 1984 to April 1985.

A great time for Comics was the 80's!

I always thought Pulp City should have its own "Secret Wars" style Scenario/Campaign!

He reminds me of "Door Man", the guy at the front door of the Comet Club - a superheroes only nightclub in The Tick.

His main superpower was being able to detect who was a superhero (allowed entry into the club) and who was just a sidekick (only allowed in the sidekick's lounge, a crummy wooden shack behind the main club).

I love the Tick. :D

Back on topic though, Sovereign arrived in a wonderful parcel full to metal today.
To be totally honest, I wasnt too sure on the minis froms the pics. Only bought him because he is the UK Supreme (and I want them all)

But,

Im so glad I did now. The mini is so full of character and movement. Fits the UK spirit amazingly well.
If you havent picked up this mini yet I suggest you do. You wont regret it!

Reworking Tritonius and have basecoats on Zed, Loup Garou, Seabolt and Sanguine.
After that I think it might be unaligned Heros
