Look at the dynamic pose on the arms and at the intense look on his face... While I haven't liked all the newer sculpts, the Jade Cult stuff has really impressed me.

I like the more static pose personally.

I love the sculpt but I think if he was holding the sword in the sheathe as if he was preparing for an iaijutsu strike it would look perhaps a tad more static but would look super imposing. I'm guessing the bad-assery of the Jade emperor demands an imposing pose.
