Re-reading the thread I note there is no official word as to how this (Howls having Aura and Range) works. I have played it ignoring the RNG value.

Any word on this Morf?

A couple of thoughts on synergies:

1. Weapons Crate - take with Howler, Dr. Red, Guerilla and Gentleman (suitably converted could be great fun - I don't know how, though!); all can use ablities 1-5, and 2 models can use ability 6 - in effect there is is 66% chance of what amounts to a near-universal Ranged Action or :ENG buff, all for 1 Resource Point.

2. Dr. Red with Howler; if Dr. red can generate the requistite 3 Red Action Points it means that Howler's Strafe can become even more effective. Unlike Run*, Strafe only counts as a single Movement Action. Now if Dr. Red helped out using Red Action Points, Howler could Move* and Strafe, or Strafe and Move* - for a massive 14 inches of movement in 1 action with 2 shots at :ENG 3.
