I had never thought about this before but the Galley Wench worked out a tactic.

Charging a car to Throw it.

A Charge has to be combined with a close combat action.
A Throw is a :STR based attack that counts as a Strike.

Is this possible?
Or have I missed something that says it isnt?

Alas no.

:STR based actions alone are not automatically Close Combat aActions.

Throw counts as a Strike Action simply because it uses a Strike, nothing more.

However the key factor is that Throw is PR, which makes it Ranged (p.34, second column).

BTW, Close Combat Actions are by default those that are not Ranged (they were never strictly speaking defined, but that is what they are).

Hope that helps. :)

Now what you CAN do:

Charge through a car, using the Smash Action to gain Reach 2 and +1 to the opposed roll! Also removing the impeding object by lifting it over your head and smashing it over the head of your unfortunate victim!

:) I love to do that.

Best part is, if your opponent knows about that trick, they'll often avoid cover just to make sure you can't use it to beat them to death.
