Hello all,

So, my favorite scenario, by far, is the invasion one.. where both teams are beset by some sort of invasion force (zombies and the like). I have always been a fan of the privateer press searforge commission (dwarves and ogres). The models are a perfect representation of some underdwelling force coming to the surface to let the surface dwellers pay! (since I don't have any of the grimm to sub in). So, here are my BOOM Dwarves and Ogres for the scenario, all comments welcome:

Level 1 - Dwarven Gunners (2 per card)
:ENG 3
:DEF 3
Deflect 1 (Due to their shields)
Slow (Stubby lil legs)
And a Proxy for Dwarven Fortitude - Hard to Kill (on a 6 the minion remains in play with one damage point)

Level 1 - Ogre Soldier ( 1 per card)
:STR 3
:DEF 3
Fury 1
Slow (Packed down with armor and weaponry)
Large (it is an ogre after all)
Survival (Able to take a hit better than any dwarf)

Level 1 - Dwarven Engineer (1 per card)

:ENG 2
:DEF 3
Deflect 1 (Fantastic Dwarven Shields)
Slow (Poor Stubby lil legs)
Dwarven Technology - Target Acquired
Survival (Better than the average dwarf!)
nd a Proxy for Dwarven Fortitude - Hard to Kill (on a 6 the minion remains in play with one damage point)

Level 2 - Dwarven Siegebreaker ( 2 per card)
:STR 4
:DEF 3
Fury 1
Slow
Dwarven Drill Training (Pack Tactics)
Hard to Kill (on a 5 or 6, minion remains in play with one damage point)

Level 2 - Ogre Bombardier (1 per card)

:ENG 4
:DEF 3
Deflect 1 - Superior Armor
Slow - One Big ol Gun!
Large - It is an ogre after all!
Blast - One Big ol Cannon!
Long Shot - Need I say more?
Target Practice - Skilled
Big and Tough - Survival

Level 2 - Dwarven General (1 per card)

:STR 4
:DEF 3

Fury 1
Leader of the Surface Reclamation Team - Skilled
Slow
Toughest Dwarf of them All! - Survival (2)
Hard to Kill (on a 5 or 6, minion remains in play with one damage point)

There you have it, it is the list of BOOM Dwarven minions for an upcoming game. Very durable and well trained with a lot of options for what the opponent can place each round. Let me know what you think!

Very cool idea and very thematic. Any chance of a battle report and pics?

This further shows the real value of the BOOM rules. They allow you to play Pulp City with a flexibility that means you can field almost anything you can possibly imagine.

This thread, while very interesting to me, is pretty old now.
