How many people would be interested in a UK Pulp City tournament or campaign weekend?

Would love to set something up in the future if the interest is there.

I would be very interested. :)

I was musing the other day about some 'quick play parameters' which could help with such a thing.

The difference between a single day and a weekedn is extra cost, so that is something to think about.

As I posted on Facebook - great idea BUT (there's always a but with everything LoL) -

The idea of a weekend becomes problematic for people who travel the furthest, as they would be traveling back late Sunday or missing a Days work on Monday.

People like myself (and folks who work weekends) might be able to take one day out of their schedule but not 2+ with Travel and/or stopping over.

Cost and Time are an Issue as Leon so rightly points out.

A one day event it is then.

Where do you think the best area to hold it would be?

Logically somewhere set up for gaming would be ideal (like Maelstrom's eye of the Storm as an example but maybe not as a suggestion), but needs would be based on number of likely participants I guess.

Once we get some numbers on how many would go, I can start looking around.

A couple of things to consider: try and avoid school holidays (people have to juggle their usual child-care around I guess) and allow plenty of time for people to make plans for attending (maybe at least 2-3 months or more?).

That would be a little far for the people at this end

So, a question to all the UK players.
How far North and South would you be willing to travel for a 1 day PC event if given afew months notice?
Place names would be good as I don't know where everyone is.

I would be interested. More in a campaign/caual event than a tournament as I think the game better suits it.

I would travel pretty much anywhere for a weekend.

For a day being limited by public transport I can't usually get much further than Birmingham or Manchester (or London due to it having really good links so also along that rail line)

I agree, a "narrative" would be better than a tourney - more fun too!
