Hello,
we are currently discussing the future of custom resin bases for Supremes.
The sales had been good enough to support the idea.
The only thing we will change is to go for base insert rather than whole bases.

A couple of questions for those who answer "yes":

a/ How much would you be willing to pay for a custom base insert to make it a reasonable option?

b/ Would you like them to be included in every box or rather as an upgrade option?

c/ Would you like to see them as "grouped releases"? A blister of 5?

Thanks,
Morf

The thing is that I love the resin base, but I like mine too.

So I've choose depending of the price.

" base insert" is a great idea. And perhaps you can have raw base too, (if some silly guys like my destroy their base in the oven with fimo (first time ever happend to me : O_o)

How much I don't really know, a little less than the actual price 8)

Upgrade option (so the box and blister wouldn't have a rise of price)

and finally

That's a good idea, so that I can choose the bases I want and made the other.

I voted yes depending on price. What I'd really like to see though are some extra bits such as alternate heads, arms or bits for a small level of customization. I really like how that was done for Iron Train and Twilight. That I would love to see more of.

Yes, it depends on the price. The thing is, I haven't bought the resin bases for the starters, cuz only a few of them interested me (especially the one for Iron Train and Androida). But if it becomes available one by one in the future, I may afford some of these. Also, the grouped release, well why not^^

I voted I don't know.

In general I don't like scenic bases for gaming pieces. great for showcase stuff.

Scenic bases can sort of detract from the tabletop if they don't fit in. Pet hate snow bases in an non snow table. I aim for neutral bases usually

That being said I got a set and will reserve final judgement when I see them.

Definetely against having them bundled in with the supremes. Should be an optional extra.

Inserts sound like a good idea as well.

They are pretty pricey especially when compared to other resin bases on the market.

I'm in the "No, I do my own bases, would rather spend $$ on more supremes".

I have yet to purchase any companies bases except when I needed more either round, square, etc normal bases. I'm so at home doing my own scenery that I figure I'd just to it myself. But that just IHO. I'm sure there are people that prefer to have the work done and all they have to do is paint it up.

I like the scenic bases as they add detail that I'd rather not take the time to make- especially as mine wouldn't be as nice. :)

Also, keep them as an upgrade instead of packaging them together.

I'm not so keen on the 'package deal' idea, though.

I'd also like to see additional heads, items, arms, etc for the models. That makes the characters stand out more compared to some of the other companies besides GW.

To Jim Dice ^ Man I love snow bases, they are my favorite type of basing.
It must be that I am from Vermont and it has snowed here in July a few years back. However, I understand what you mean.

To others: I would like resin bases for other supremes because I really only use standard flocking and do not believe I am skilled enough to make it look like they are standing on a city street.

Has the notion of additional bases been placed on a back-burner, or is this still something you plan to tackle?

I noticed I hadn't answered the questions you posed. I realise voting has concluded, but if you are still thinking of more PC-specific bases:

a. 1-2 euro maximum for me depending on size and complexity

b. upgrade; adding them to every box penalizes customers for whom they are not needed if the consumer has some different basing ideas in mind.

c. I'd like blisters and maybe individual bases (accepting a slightly higher cost for individual bases since stock control and handling becomes more of an issue)

In addition I'd like to see some generic packs themed to allegiances - a Blood Watch pack, Necroplane, Heavy Metal etc. where the bases look complimentary rather than wholly unique.

And yes, I know this thread is old...

I thin k custom resin bases are on hold. I think we'd all rather energy is put into releaing more supremes and the book, and equally so there are a lot of sku's for Pulp City for people to spend their hard-earned money on.

In the future I would like to see some Pulp City Streets bases that are widely useful for any supremes. We could also have a Necroplane pack.
