Browsing the world wide web, I came across this blog post on making paved roads.

Buy grey vinyl and cut them out to the size and shape you want. Intersections, curves, corners, angles, etc.

Then, take a white-out roller, or something else to make the lines, and lay the lines down.

Nicely, Nicely . . . . .

You could even double layer the sides for sidewalks/pavements - with bit of shading and a drybrush for "depth" to it.
