Future Echoes [Pulp Mix] is the first "single" from the album titled Pulp City - The Soundtrack (Bailey Records/2009) coming August 18, 2009.
Theme = A song for the unaligned superheroes of Pulp City!
The original version of this cinematic song was written as a theme for FUTUR EKO, a web-comic by Waja Comics. This new “pulp mix” is a variation of the original that lends itself more the Latino music feel of Miami Vice in the 1980s while still retaining its symphonic superheroic core.
Pulp City – The Soundtrack will be a collaborative effort by TW Cory (aka Capt. Futura) and Stratos and will feature themes, cues, and compositions highlighting the various locations and factions found within the fantastic world of Pulp City. Visit http://www.pulp-city.com for more details.
As a bonus, Pulp City - The Soundtrack will also fully compatible and authorized by Green Ronin's Mutant & Masterminds superhero roleplaying game under the Superlink OGL.
Be sure to click the links below to visit Stratos’ Acidplanet profile where you’ll be able to hear the song in its entirety before buying.
Future Echoes [Pulp Mix] is composed and produced by Stratos of Bailey Records Composition and Sound Design – the team that brought you the Origins Award-nominated Universe87 Campaign Setting Soundtrack.

Souns really nice. The song creates a steady kind of tension without high tension or low tension passages but remains continous on one level throughout itself, which is preferable for tabletop games (and RPG action scenes) imho.

Just threw an ear, sounds ok, not at all what I was expecting though. Not thrilled either, but that's just me :p

Hey John S. - no worries. We realize not everyone will like every song we write but I'm pretty sure there will be something for everyone on this album when it releases. This is just one song - not even the "theme" song - for the Unaligned Heroes. Morf has given us a lot of great ideas for how the Pulp Monsters crew envision each faction and location to sound and we'll do our best to work closely with those suggestions without sacrificing our artist license.
Thanks for your comments.
Keep'em coming!

At first I didn't quite understand what was going on in the original post.
Is this an official release, something fan based, or what? Maybe I was just tired and didn't comprehend that you had made actual music based on the game.
I listed to the first song available there and liked it, but it's not my style. I could tell you did work and everything flowed well together.

Hey varagon - this is very much the real deal. Bailey Records (my company) has licensed the rights from Pulp Monsters to release an official Pulp City soundtrack that will be available for purchase beginning around Gencon 2009. It'll have various distributors and will be available as an mp3 download or hardcopy CD.

Hardcopy CD is good news to me, since my Computer istn't located in the hobby room and mp3 players aren't quite as nice as a hifi system.

Loved it, perfect background music for some villainous activities on the tabletop! Looking forward to the release, will definitely be buying myself a copy. Cheers.

Thanks BB - please be to check out the other 3 releases out now (the latest just released on Tues). I'm in the studio as we speak putting the finishing touches on upward of 15 songs total for the soundtrack and we're right on track for a Gencon release at both the Pulp Monsters/Kraken booth and at We Have Issues! Publishing's booth plus online distribution.
