This was fun. No, it was super fun!

End of the Day 4 and I am still alive and kicking!
I gotta say this was the best GenCon ever.
I had a blast of a time talking to you all, I can't even name everybody.

Thanks a lot for all the feedback and support!

So here goes the list of "thank you"s:

First and foremost - the booth crew. Rob and Will, you steered this ship through all 4 days. Matt, Maurice, John, Gareth - pleasure to hang out with you!

Josh (Saultydog) and Todd (Totengraber) - hats off for running the demos at the booth and outside the Dealer's Hall. Todd and Brian and Tabletop Gamers - thank you, I hope we can do more together next year.

Evan (Lando) and Yann (Devilsquid) - for just stopping by and... staying to run demos. It was freaking awesome to watch you in the action.

Everybody stopping by and saying good things about the game and the models and buying tons of stuff.

All other inspirations and fun times with Kai, Doug and his "wingmen", Paolo Parente, Armorcast crew, Wyrd crew (Nick - that was a kick ass T-Shirt!), our neighbors from We have Issues!, the brilliant composing team on Pulp City soundtrack and everybody else!

I'll be tending some things for the next couple of days and then I am off from the face of the Earth. Time for some holidays!

Cheers,
Morf
PS: There will be no post-GenCon sale this year. I'm going back with 3 boxes of Mourn and 2 others. Thanks for wiping the shelves of our booth clean, I really appreciate the support of the game!

PS2: Next GenCon... we are back and bigger, hopefully running demos of Pulp City, AE-WWII, AE Bounty (check it out, this game ROCKS!) and... Hell Dorado.

welcome back, good to hear it was a good time :)

have any of your or darksons crew made sharper pictures of the sneak previews ? or do we have to make do with the movie ?
and between the two of you (other being darkson.. dunno if thats his name now that I think of it.), horrible all the helldorado teasing. but considering the circle the teasing happens in I guess it should be good news :)

I allready apply to be a gencon boothmonkey next year, sooo :p

That is great news... sold out. I'm impressed.

Gee... and you mentioned Hell Dorado. So who picked up Hell Dorado? Darkson or Pulp ?? I've heard rumblings someone picked it up....

Now Morf take a well earned rest... because when you get back we will not let you rest until this time next year....

Anyone see June Summers?

What other goodies did one pick up from the Con?

What were on those post Cards?

So many questions...

dunno how morf thinks about discussing this here.
however lining up the heard rumors its apparently an american who took it upon him (the news post stated it as if it was a single person, not a company, but that might be the translation so this part is a bit void.)
Darkson and Morf seem to be in the know, but I dont think its either of them (for starters morf is not an american ;) besides both companies having their hands full with great stuff allready.)

I do know it should be in good hands now (that counts out alot of potentials :p)

reading the above post, combined with adding alot of 1's to 1's my first tought was, maybe paolo parente has it, and after all consideration it makes most sense ? but he is not an american either (that is... that would be new to me if he is :))

Im also not sure he counts as "good hands" perse, not meant negatively, he is a very inspiring artist to me (and hope to one day meet and get a few pointers of advice and critique from him.), but from the sideline it looks as if he takes business-things quite slow with his own projects (but that might be the baby-steps element that can happen for pet projects, and helldorado wouldnt be a pet-project.)

this is just my own speculation, lord knows Ive asked around ever since the first day it was announced helldorado was shopping around (it shortly went as far as me looking for info for a loan etc. but Im not a good businessman and would definitely not count as "good hands".) but Im not one of those in the know.

alot of text, as said, hope morf doesnt mind.

as for the cards, I do know what was on there ;) (as some have been mentioned before and the cards were on public display I hope I can say this.)
it had a preview of deadliner, a preview of kitty cheshire, and one of someone not mentioned before (and I never want to be the first, sorry, Im not much of a spoiler :)) the rest of the cards were just excisting character art mixed with some design to have that "kiosk-greeting cards" element.. my personal favorite being the museum-scene comicbook panel medley and chimpchi.

I havent seen June summers, I hope she has been ninja-shopped for me even tough I havent asked for her (as I completely forgot about the convention-mini... or ANY convention minis by any company >_< )

Congratulations on your survival Morf!

I'm excited to hear you have so very little product left at the end of the show. I'm curious to hear what ultimately happened with Helldorado. One of my good friends loves it and was concerned with Asmode's original announcementy of shutting down the game.

Enjoy your well-earned break and get ready to launch the next wave of awesome supremes when you get back.

PS: I take full credit for sending Devilsquid your direction.

Just wanted to add my congratulations for what sounds to have been a great success for Pulp City, just as it should have been

Have a good holiday Morf, I think we can all safely agree that you deserve it.

I just wanted to post, here, that I took a bunch of photos of the Pulp City/AE both and some photos of an event run by Morf called "The Rise of C.O.R.E." I really enjoyed getting to visit with Morf and the guys at Darkson.

Here are some of the photos:

Those are great....

Anyone demo AE Bounty? How does it compare to Infinity? (Off topic, I know...)

Thanks Nick!
Jack is such a cool guy, make sure you all check out Champions Online. I'm getting a life-time subscription (for 199 USD until the end of the month).

Bounty has the core mechanics of AE-WWII. What can I say. It rocks.
I'm just sitting in front of my 20+ different Bounty minis and wondering how to build up the teams.
You get a choice of B-Hunter crews, Mercenaries and Pirates.
You can go as low as 2 models to almost 20.
You pick your force organisation, then the roles for the team members (psychics, demolitions, assassins), then you pick alien races.Tons of wargear options from teleporters to heavy armor.
It's like Barbie meets Star Wars. I love it!
Out of my GenCon WOWs, should have seen the preview of Anima Tactics book. Jaw dropping.

I played in the Rise of C.O.R.E.! And it was awesome! Anyway, hello everyone, new to the forum and the game in general. I have got to say that pulp city was definitely the highlight of my very first gencon. Morf, you are the MAN, it was great talking to you and of course, stopping the mysterious man and those damn dinosaurs. Long live Pulp City!

I had a blast demoing for the TTG team up in room 201 every morning from 8am to 10am. With the exception of Saturday's 8am session, we had a full plate of 4 people every time. Even if the people with actual tickets didn't show up, we had people waiting with generics.

Down in the booth, I probably did a good 20 or more demos in the 6 hours I was there. It was fun hanging out with Maciej, Rob, Maurice and the other AE-WWII demo guy.

There's already talk of more and bigger demos with TTG and the thought of a tournament has been thrown around as well!
